Silver Snap-Tool and California Clean Truck Check
The California Clean Truck Check (CTC) is part of California’s multi-pronged effort to reduce air pollution in the coming years. The CTC program applies to all diesel and alternative fuel vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) over 14,000 pounds and an engine model year 2013 and newer (diesel) or 2018 and newer (alternative fuels).
Silver Snap-Tool, supported by RA Automotive Software Solutions, was the first CARB-approved testing solution for the CA Clean Truck Check (CTC) program at the end of 2022. In a matter of minutes, the Silver Snap-Tool software reads out all relevant OBD data for vehicle testing, emissions monitoring, and identification of emissions related fault codes and send them to CARB with just one click.
